Transport
The rail and road networks are well-developed in France.

Tickets must be punched in stations before entering trains. Reservations are compulsory on most high-speed trains (TGVs).
There are many special offers (information in railway stations and on the SNCF website).

Public transport is well-developed in cities. The main cities have an underground train system or trams, as well as buses and regional trains. Various types of tickets are available, including weekly or monthly subscriptions (the “orange card” in Paris).

Tolls are charged on most motorways.
